SecureCRT Icon  New in SecureCRT 9.7

Set up workspaces for different work contexts and locations with the new Snapshots feature, which remembers the layout for a group of sessions.

Active Sessions Manager enhancements make it easier to work with open sessions by displaying information about how many sessions are open and which one is active.

Temporarily highlight a word or phrase by typing or pasting it into the keyword edit box on the toolbar.

Here are some of the new features in SecureCRT 9.7:

Snapshots

Save a group of sessions and their layout information as a snapshot, which is helpful for setting up different workspaces depending on the type of work to be done or where it will be done.

Active Sessions Manager enhancements

Save time by performing operations like disconnect, close, and lock on multiple items in the Active Sessions Manager.  See at a glance which session is the active session and how many sessions are currently open.

Ad hoc keyword highlighting

Type a word or phrase into the keyword edit box on the toolbar to temporarily highlight it.

Credentials manager enhancements

Credentials manager entries can be created without a username, which is helpful for connections that require enable passwords.  Sessions can be configured to always prompt for a set of saved credentials when connecting.

SFTP enhancements

Saved sessions configured with the SSH2 protocol can now be connected directly in an SFTP tab without having to first open a terminal connection.  Initiate an SFTP transfer by dragging from the system file explorer into an SSH2 terminal session.

Algorithm support

Added support for the diffie-hellman-group15-sha512 and diffie-hellman-group17-sha512 key-exchange algorithms.

Emulation support

Added support for Xterm 216+ keyboard emulation and Xterm R6 alternate keyboard.

Teleport compatibility

The ability to specify separate locations for the trusted OpenSSH certificate and its private key file facilitates compatibility with Teleport.
